Fishbone
Back in 2013 I attended the AERO INDIA airshow as the Russian Knights were to perform. I had long admired their spectacular displays via images online, so seeing them live was not to be missed. The roar of 14 Sukhoi engines overhead was a thrilling experience, unmatched since. This kit and the decal set were ordered way back in 2013, and only now completed after being in the stash for more than 10 years. The decals were pretty stubborn and yellowed (which seems to have cleared up fortunately) 3d printed pitot tube, sensors, weighted tires, chocks, cones, extinguisher and figures. Ladder from Zvezda Su-30SM kit. Paints : Tamiya, Decals : Begemot The decals for the stripes seemed too daunting to do correctly, so I chose to mask the stripes. I used a spacer stripe for perfect gaps. Pretty happy with the results, and it was actually much easier than I expected. I also used the supplied masks for the vertical stabilizer 'sunburst' as I didn't want to lose the surface detail under the decals. It was the right call to make given how unresponsive the decals were to the setting solution. Thanks for viewing! Cheers, Alex. Sebastijan
Beautiful Flanker, Alex. I am fortunate to have seen Knights display 4 or 5 times now and I might build one myself.

JackMan
Fantastic. I've always liked the Russian Knights scheme, especially the yellow sunbursts on the tail. Nice work
