1/24 Honda F1 RA272 - 1965 Mexico Grand Prix Winner

Hello ARC,

i came across this one day and it piqued my interest.

1/20 is far more common for F1 but I prefer 1/24 to match with my other cars.
 

This is my first time building an F1 car. Here are the parts that comes with the standard kit. Not too many.

But this "super detail" edition comes with these extras. I used most of it except for the white metal exhausts, opting instead for the standard plastic parts.

The relatively simple cockpit tub,  engine and aft suspension built up.

and the few body panels. These were painted Tamiya Racing White (LP-39), decaled and given a few clear coats of LP-9.
Some light sanding followed by polishing with tamiya compounds.

The assembled rear end just slides into place

With the exception of the fiddly exhaust, it goes togther quite well. Overall a nice little kit.
