Work done on the cockpit tub, adding the small photo etch parts. And glued the tub in place in the left front fuselage part.

I must admit that the details really shine out , it’s a great add on to the kit.

Also added two extra fins to the fuel tank, and removed the centre line fin.

Further work on the Viggen cockpit and hood with instrument display.

The cockpit tub is getting on the smaller photo etch details and really comes to live!

The hood has now the instrument panel being glued in place, supported on the back with a piece of plastic to keep in position. Some tiny photo etch details to attach on the display panel, including the HUD frame and glass.

Next of the big flaws, apart from the cockpit and intakes lacking details, is the exhaust, thrust reverser and tail section of the Italeri kit.

I couldn’t see how to get this standing out, as the inner part lacks all: it has no detail at all! Probably because the thrust reverser parts are closed, but also not correctly detailed.

And in parked position, the upper flap of the thrust reverser is hanging down, so the inside of the exhaust is visible and must have details.

So I ordered the detail set from Maestro Models to be sure she will have a detailed rear.

Nice work. There is a lot of it as I can see. For the intakes, You could try miliput or some other similar stuff. And if it doesn't meet the intake front parts You could perhaps push them into the still curing miliput, and remove them after a while.

Starting working on the engine and exhaust section, now that I have the Maestro set.

I removed the last parts of the exhaust section, including opening up space on the fuselage underside for the engine.

Test fitting now as next step, before starting to prime the engine interior en glueing the new tail section in place.

Milliput on hand as well, so can start working on filling the gaps at the intakes.

Note the lack of details on the tailcone, I used plastic sheets to fill the areas around the reverser paddles and the regulator details (at least that's what I think those ridged things are supposed to be) should be removed. You can easily build the regulator turkey feathers with plasticard.

On the picture you still see the Italeri removed parts.

I glued the rear fuselage half in place, in order to keep it open and get the Maestro engine properly in place, with some sprue supports.

Also primed the engine parts, before applying the right metal colours, tone variations and the photo etch parts.
