Hello all,

 

I organized my work station so it is less clustered. I bought the wooden chests and store the majority of the tools in there. I only have on my bench the absolute items needed while working on the project. A label maker is handy to know where things are. Dai

A bit limited and a bit crowded... but still quite ok as I build only in 72nd scale.

INCREDIBLE!  I just took a picture of my workshop as I am digging through the closet and organizing my stash. (hence all the boxes laying about)  I will consider this my "Before" picture and will post the "after" pictures when I get finished with the room.  You have set the bar incredibly high!  And also given me something to show the wife that I am not singularly obsessed with this hobby!

Looks like adequate light over the actual work space, which I'm struggling with as I'm getting older.

I have to say I'm very impressed with your security detail - my security detail tends to be a bit more, errr,  fluffy...

My entire modelling room measures around 9x8 feet so the workbench is small by comparison

Excellent reference materials near by. I would love to have one like yours but there is no room. The walls are all taken by display cases. Dai

My two "work stations" are the kitchen table, where most of the assembly occurs, and a small table outside where I do my airbrushing and other painting. Both are reasonably clean right now, despite working on two models concurrently.

I notice all the master models come from workbenches that look like a war zone or tornado just blew over. Pristine workshop like mine always resulted in average at best models. Dai

My Modeling Room, in the basement,  was supposed to be a "temporary setup" after we moved in and I've had intentions of totally redoing my workroom but, after 11 years I doubt it's gonna happen. I really hate the fact that nothing matches and things are piece mealed together. Anyhow, here's my humble space, room is @ 12 feet x 9 feet and has heat.

My main workbench, nothing fancy but, it works.

 

This gray desk I made way back in the late 90's. It's been thru two moves. I use it as an overflow area while building.

 

I made this bookcase @ 5 years ago and I've already outgrown it and need to build a bigger one. I use these books extensively during my builds as well as searching the web when I can't find what I need in them.

 

I'm fortunate that I now have a separate room for spraying in instead of dragging everything out to the garage. This room is @ 12 feet x 8 feet and climate controlled as well.

 

I made the wooden paint storage rack, the other one is a repurposed medicine cabinet with the doors removed.

 

 

My downdraft spray booth and bench that I built in 2022.
