kernsc
Here is my 1/48 Italeri ACH-47A "Co$t of Living", finally complete! I started this back in 2006 right when the kit came out, but it got boxed up as career and life kept me away from modeling until a few years ago. Finally finished it up before Christmas. Kit decals were worthless. Zotz decals for the critical markings but they weren't great, either. The figures are from ICM's excellent Vietnam aircrew set. The green came out darker than I wanted, so I'll have to look for a new shade the next time I do a Vietnam era subject. This was Tamiya XF-62, but followed up with post-shading (highlights and shadows), a brown filter (Mig), Panel line wash, pigments. The MrColor gloss coat also made it quite a bit darker, some of which was "recovered" after the AK ultra-matte at the end. I'm pretty new to bases and figures, but I thought the crew came out pretty well for my first real effort.
Loach Driver
Well done on a very nice ACH-47A. The weathering looks good and not over-done. The figures are really nice and add a sense of scale to the Chinook. 👍 LD.

Hooker169
I like it! I'm with Loach, I think the weathering visually suits the model very well. Nice job!
