1/48th scale SEA/Desert Storm/PACAF aircraft revetment measurements & questions

Recommended Posts

To my fellow modelers:

REALLY want to display my 1/48th SEA F-4E/F-4D//RF-4C aircraft projects in their natural habitats in SEA (RTAB Udorn/RTAB Ubon) while parked in their revements.

Through Hannants, Aircraft in Miniature offers a nice revetment set:

https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/GE48180

But came across a beautiful 3D printed set from Coastal Kits:

https://coastalkits.co.uk/cubecart/airfields/airfields/1/48-scale/1-48-vietnam-hardstand-with-3d-printed-revetment-walls

I've obtained both, trying to figure out what will work best for me & my projects......

Both are beautiful and well made.....HOWEVER:

....there is a significant size discrepancy between each 'wall' section from each manufacturer.......

see attached photos......

Soooooo....

Does anyone have any info on size/dimensions of the sections for SEA and modern revetments? I did a Google search and didn't come up with anything useful......

...maybe revetment section size varied with manufacturer/theatre/time frame?

Appreciate everyone's input and thoughts!

Thanks,

Mike

PERFECT!!! Thank you so much for the link and assistance!!! Much appreciated!

....will measure the 3D  revetment sections from each manufacturer and see which is correct.....

Thank you again!

Best,
