I live in Blythewood and it is within minutes from Columbia. There is one Hobby Town 326 St. Andrew Road, Columbia SC. Not too well stocked the last time I was there years ago. Scott Smith Posted June 3, 2025 Share Posted June 3, 2025 The Hobby Town was originally in NE Columbia less than 2 miles from my house. Yea, it was dangerous. Hated to see them move, but high rent and too many smash and grab break ins in the middle of the night took their toll on them I guess. I won 1st and 3rd place in a model contest there. One of the judges called me aside and said they wanted to give me 1st and 2nd, but they didn’t want to discourage others from competing in the future. I get it. I was surprised at winning anything.
