Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Not perfect, just glad it's done. Found this build extremely frustrating, especially the paint. Never was happy with the shades no matter how I mixed (took a couple of years of trying, burn out and wait months, try again, etc). Add to that the closest matches in the end for the green and the gray-violet were from Vallejo - I know lots of folks love this line, but apparently I'm not skilled enough to make it work. Really not a fun experience. Matra LRF1 pods are scratch built after giving up on anyone making these. Also scratchbuilt the cannon, added an aftermarket seat and the Reskit afterburner plus the wheels. Bad leakage from the canopy masks after so much time in place, too. Refer to sentence #1. Enjoy anyway....
barkin mad
You have made a fine job of that considering the issues encountered, though not with the actual kit I guess. ------------------

Cool Hand
Looks real good in the end. Were there really English "Keep Off" stencils on the Libyan F-1's?

Absolutely! Most curious, all the stenciling was in English. See this thread from Britmodeller, and almost exactly halfway down you'll find a close view of the tailplane with large "KEEP OFF" on it: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235069781-dassault-mirage-f1/
