Hi Mario, I would suspect that the same level of detailing can be expected from the new F-104J Starfighter kit as in previous Fine Molds kits. Simple, this is the way they make kits and the way they like it. I would tend to agree with them. But this is only my opinion. There are modellers who apply hundreds of layers of paint and varnish to the kits they build. Obviously they would want much deeper and wider surface details. But this is a question of taste, some like it one way, others like it differently. The Fine Molds team like the kits they make, the way they are. Sorry Mario! I feel their F-4 series had the most shallow panel lines, with most of their other releases having having slightly deeper lines. @ya-gabor is correct, they are tailoring their kits to domestic preferences. I have their F-4 and panel lines looks not deep and sharp as Tamiya ones. Yes it looks like, but primer and paint layer and gloss warnish... where wash will went into? But this is only my opinion... i compared Zvezda to Eduard panel lines, with Tamiya wash, and in Eduard panel lines wash went more smoothly and more in distance. Didnt check on FM F-4... Best regards Gabor I dont have anything against at all!! I like their way of presenting and designing of kits and all technological part of production!! I like finer lines, thorugh which Tamiya wash, flowing smoothly 😄😄😄😄 cannot wait to check how tail part flushes on rest of airframe!!
