Yeah, it just sucks because I was so close to wrapping them up, oh well.

Never fails. It's always at the end of a project that disaster strikes. I was working on a set of the Phase Hanger Strike pylons the other day and I was drilling the locator holes a little wider to allow me to thread plastic rod through them. I got the 2 pylons done and 3 of the LAU-128's drilled. On my last hole of the last LAU, the ADU-552 snapped in half.

A few years ago, I was spraying the dull coat on a 32nd Avademy Viper and had a bad reaction for some reason. It ate through decals, paint and into the plastic. I couldn't figure out how to fix it and ended up throwing the whole thing away one step away from the finish line.

Small update for today,

I got the replacement GBU to the same point as the other one. I sprayed the front section of the GCU a darker shade of brown as per my reference photos. A gloss coat will be next and, hopefully decals without any further incidents. Thanks for looking.

Finally finished the GBU-24's except for the arming wire and some light weathering.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to put this build on the "back burner" for now. I started tearing apart our master bathroom earlier this week and that will be my focus until it's finished.

Thanks to all who were following along, see ya when I get back to the bench.

I need help from the Strike Eagle experts.

My build is from the 2007 timeframe so, what rim face would be correct ? I'm guessing "B" ?  I know "C" is late and I'd assume "A" is early.

I'm way behind on this but I've only ever seen A on Strike Eagles

Had some free time yesterday, waiting on my plumber, so I wanted to get the GBU's completely finished so when I do get back to this build I can have a fresh starting point. I used 38 gauge wire to simulate the arming wire on the bombs and gave them a very light "dusting" using my Tamiya weathering sets.

Great looking jet Steve! I love the Revell kit. In my opinion, it’s the best Eagle kit available (in any scale).

Anyway, you are certainly doing it justice. And I love the splash of color the practice ordnance provides.

Keep up the great work!

With all the cold weather here my plumber has been busy with "emergencies" so my bathroom remodel is temporarily on hold for now. I wanted to get the ejection seats wrapped up however so I worked on them this week and got them completed. The MCC seats are really nice and I like how they turned out.

Thanks to all those who still check in on my build.

Steve

Items used to weather the seats. I brushed some of the Pan Pastel "Paynes Grey" on the cushions first followed by some of the Tamiya "snow" to change their color and give them a slightly worn look. Tamiya snow was also lightly brushed all over the seat and rails. The artist pencil was used to create chipping and scuff marks to certain edges.
