seawinder
After a bit of snooping online, I've found two 3D printed (I think) seats from companies of which I've never heard: Fast-Fix and MCC. Does anybody have any experience with, or opinions of, these products? I want to get a seat for the Tamiya Block 30 kit and would prefer not to have to deal with PE. Any other recommendations welcome as well. Thanks, Pip
Dave Williams
I have some of the MCC seats for the F-4 and F-35. They’re nice and very detailed.
Falcon053
I have used MCC seats on my lastest F-16 and F-2A builds and they are very nice, a little challenging getting the seat out of the print cage, so you need to take your time working it out. Duane
seawinder
Thanks Falcon053. I take it from what you say that the MCC seat fit okay in the F-16 cockpit?
seawinder
Another question if I may: Several outfits do ACESII seats with fold-down pitots; they're generally labeled "late production." Would one of them or the version of the seat with the angled pitots be more appropriate for a Block 50 CJ? Thanks again.

The ACES II with fold-down pitots have been seen on many jets, however recently saw the "original" unfolded ones in use still. So check your reference photos as that is more "accurate" than any reference to the CJ, given that the CJ was upgraded to CM 15-20 years ago (already!?)

strikeeagle801
I've gotten a few Fast Fix seats, not the ACES specifically, and they've been good. MCC seats are good too. I have used the MCC ACES II, and it worked just fine. Aaron

BWDenver
This may be a little late to the party... Just got back from a month long trip into the S Pacific and two week in Australia shooting birds. This shots were taken in early 1990 at Chanute AFB. Chanute hosted the USAF EGRESS school. Either ACES II seat will work as they have the nothc in the front of the seat. The only question would be if they seat had the pop out air data sensors or not. Check the references and photos of the bird you want to do. Enjoy Bryan
habu2
I was working at LM-FW during the early-mid 90s when B50-B52 production was underway, IIRC the jets were rolling off the line with the fold-down pitots.
