k5ikl
Looking for harpoon missile colors carried on the low viz TPS ghost grey S-3A/B Vikings. Most pics I can come up with show the high viz missiles of white with a radome tan nose. I assuming they are probably some shade of grey. LOL Thanks Jerry

A-10 LOADER
Don't always trust the kit paint guide, RES/KIT has been known to be wrong. Use FS 36375, Light Ghost Gray. Steve

k5ikl
Thanks guys. That's pretty much the same info I have been coming up with. So light ghost grey it shall be which is what I was going to use anyway. Cheers, Jerry

RCarlson
Good info and I was wondering about the color as well! I have another question about the Harpoons that I'll throw in here. I'm planning on doing a Harpoon armed Australian F-111 and have the ResKit AGM-84 set. My question is regarding the fins and their angles? Pictures always make it look like they are 90° apart, but it's hard to tell. The ResKit drawing and the way the fins fit is not 90° separation and appears more like a 110°, 70°. Is this correct? LDM
Here's a few front-on pics from DVIDS of AGM-84Ds hanging from P-8s. On the last pic I used Photoshop to superimpose two lines 90° apart from each other over the fins.
GW8345
Unless the loading crew dropped it, the fins should be 90 degress apart. At least that how they were on all the ones I handled/loaded.
Collin
GW is correct...they are 90-degrees from each other...end of story.
k5ikl
Thanks for the additional info.
RCarlson
Thanks for confirming this everyone! I figured as much, but the pictures LDM posted really helped. So that means the ResKit Harpoons are wrong. They are engineered that you couldn't change them to be the correct angle. Who else makes a good 1/72 Harpoon?
