What primer for resin?

Title says it all.  What primer(s) are you guys using?  I haven't found anything that "bites" into the resin.  Is the AK Fine Resin Primer good?

I have been using Alclad II Primer and Fine Microfiller lately. It is a lacquer, it covers well, and "sticks" to whatever you put it on. I've found the black to have the best coverage and the finest pigment, but the gray and white work just fine when black is too dark to use practically.

I use Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 gray, thinned 1:1 with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner, for all my priming needs. Never any issues.

Tamiya primer, thinned with Mr Leveling Thinner. I primed a resin car body with it a couple of weeks ago and didn’t experience any lifting when I masked it for painting.

Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Gray here too. When I started making resin kits back in the 1980s, these primers weren't available and I used standard car metal primer from the rattle can for many years without any issues. I still have resin models I made circa 1986 and they show no issues 40-odd years later.

For resin, primers made for plastics work best. AK Fine Resin Primer is good, but lightly sanding first helps it stick. Tamiya or Vallejo surface primers also work well.

Thanks for the replies.  Im really good a cleaning and prepping the resin parts but I haven't had great luck with the Tamiya primer biting into the resin.
