caudleryan
Well, Christmas was fun and with all of the cooking and unwrapping of gifts, was pretty eventful! Most of my family was able to attend our little party and we had a great time watching the little kids unwrap their presents. Most of them got clothes, one got a new Playstation game, and I got my brother a 1-350 USS Wasp kit from Trumpeter. Now, he is the one that builds ships. I'm mostly aircraft and cars. But, a few months ago, I made the offhand comment that I would love to try my hand at an aircraft carrier, too. Didn't think much if it until Christmas when he pulls this massive box out of his truck and hauls it inside. Took me like ten minutes to open the box because it had sooo much tape on it from the shipper. To my surprise, he bought me quite possibly the biggest ship kit I have ever seen! The Trumpeter 1-350 USS Ford. My God! This thing is massive! And quite expensive! He also got me a 3D printed island and other bits for it. So, all in all, a good Christmas. I was happy to just spend it with my family and wasn't expecting anything as that isn't really what matters to me. But, that was quite a nice gift from my brother and I hope to do the kit justice if or when I do make a start on it.

junkman3353
Got a bit of money because I couldn't find books/models I really wanted. Then I found the just published "P-51 Mustang in Israeli Air Force Service 1948-1960" by White Crow Publications. I have their book on IDF Spitfires so I ordered with confidence. Heaven knows I don't need any more kits right now. Edited December 29, 2025 by junkman3353

Ruud
Three Robin Hobbs books. Al Murray’s Black Tuesday and an Ebay GC. That GC was turned into 2 Sabot books (Dutch PRTL/Cheeta and Dutch Leopard II), Tankcraft’s Canadian, ZA, and NZ Shermans in Italy, and Oprey’s Royal Dutch Navy in the 2nd WW. So i can’t complain. Camus272
Stocked up on MRP with the 20% off sale at Spruebrothers. Since pretty much all modeling items are now coming from overseas, I thought I better get more paint before the tariffs make it impossible to afford.
