Fancherello
Thanks guys!I'm using Adobe Illustrator. I begin by taking a pic and tweaking it in photoshop until I like the arrangement. I then open it in Illustrator and trace it on a new layer, mostly with the pen tool, varying line weights from .25pt to 1pt. I can't wait! I saw the teaser pic in the back of the March issue. Will it be on the cover? (Can you post any pics here? ) hi Chris I havent seen the 126 yet, but here's a little teaser

Fancherello
hi thank you guys ! I'm glad you like it ! The cockpit has been painted with Gunze RLM65 as a bse color THa camo has been done with Mr Kit acrylics WW1 light french blue and WW1 US light grey, the faded dark blue is Xtracrilics Azure blue, and the touch ups were done with a miw of Azure blue and German blue ( RLM23 ? )... plus many other colors for post shading tones ! I used the BBox pit as I started this build just when it was released, and had to do several breaks during the building process, waiting for Chris' parts ( which were truly great to use and bringing great result with minimum work ) and Aires burner cans. edit: I forgot to mention I used Linden Hill decals+stencils ( which include weathered red stars... a great idea there ! ) You'll have the hole tory in TMMI 126 issue Fanch ps: I have to build another one now when I see Chris'intakes Edited March 22, 2006 by Fancherello

APUMAN57
Outstanding Fanch ! Super looking Flanker !!! I saw the upcoming shot in TMMI #125 on the back cover and already started to drool ! I'll tell ya Chris you'll never sleep again after it gets out that you are the "Flanker God of Parts " . Really you might have to hide out in the woods for a while, till it blows over ( I'll send the beer by pack mule ) !! I have to let you all down and say I gave up on the Aires Bang Seat, the harness just beat me in the end ! So, I'm modifying the CAM seat to go into the Aires Tub. At least the harnesses are molded on, I just could not do it !!!! I'll tackle the rest of the tub tomarrow, I primered it up and gave it a custom blended coat of Floquil German light blue with a touch of regular blue added in. This color matches the color shots really close. It mad me happy !! the Laq will handle the washes after it's done really nicely. After seeing all these threads in the past year or more I had to place a mental limit on the detail level for my flanker, There are some that are totally beautiful works of art and you all have to be commended on your outstanding efforts and to Chris in helping make them come alive for us ! Cheers to you all !!!!!! :D
Zactoman
"AFTERMARKET SET OF THE YEAR 2006!"??? :( I'll tell ya Chris you'll never sleep again after it gets out that you are the "Flanker God of Parts " . Really you might have to hide out in the woods for a while, till it blows over ( I'll send the beer by pack mule ) !! :o I enjoy all of the nice compliments and words of encouragement, but now we're getting a bit carried away. I might accept super-hero, but I'm not very God-like! :D A very special Thank You to those super-heroes who have generously included extra funds with thier payments for "contributions to the beer fund" I'm just blown away... swimmer25k
Zactoman, I'm new to your forum and was interested in purchasing the intakes, nose, and canopy. Are the intakes finsihed yet? Your web-site says they are still in the process, but it seems like a few have made it out. I'm looking to blow some bucks, so please let me know how to do it. Thanks, Chris in Dallas

(Anything but Coors thank you!) Skim through my entries for the last few pages for the full story...Here's where I'm at now: I've only sent out a few pre-production sets and have a few more to send. I've only managed to cast one set per day lately, if that...I've been busy... I've purchased more pressure pots to facilitate massive production demands  I'm preping to pour additional molds for production, hopefully I'll have a second set of molds finished this weekend. I did a small update to my website, Zactomodels and added some pretty pictures on the intake page. I also added a link to the instruction sheet which is still in progress. I've done a little more on the instruction drawings, but added no text. For those of you who are working on them, this pic shows the location of the little electrical box which is included as a seperate part: At least one set that I sent out arrived damaged, with the tips of the intakes broken. I decided to make a quicky little vacuumform tray (remember that freebie 160lbs of plastic? :D ) to hold the intakes safely, with the small parts bagged and taped underneath. I stayed late at work last night to pull some parts and the ancient pile of vacuumforming machine broke down after only 6 pulls. I'll try to see if it's repairable this week, otherwise I'll get quotes for having them done... Su-33? < YF-23! :D
Vandy 1 vx4
I can wait for the Su-33 But a can't wait for that YF-23 :D Your YF-23----------------------------I have seen it, I have held it And there is no words to explain it. ( I wish their was a Drooling Emoticon) on here that comes close to explain it.

I'm glad you like my Flanker If you're facing problems to adapt CAM seat, Aires is going to release a Flanker seat with molded harness in their Quickboost range. It will be based on the non-harness seat, I guess, so no problem to drop it in your Aires cockpit. Kind regards Fanch
ElectroSoldier
It seems to me that you will be able to build an entire SU-27 out of the resin parts, and dispense with the trumpeter parts altogether lol
Nuno Andresen
Chris I also sent you a private message. Honnestly those intakes are absolutly gorgeous.
