looks like he can fly
hi Kaan, The rafale is a plane that interests me very much, and i was wondering what all did you have to do to convert it to a C? I know the landing gear is different, but thats the only viewable difference that i know of. I'd be very intersted in know what you did, becaus i plan on building a C or M in the future. BTW, it looks great!! keep up the good work Dan
Ant Phillips
I don't know if its the way Kaan did it but Revell have produced 2 versions so far, the single seat M and the 2 seat B, they share a common fuselage with a seperate lower nose section and noseleg to give a catapult compatible noseleg or a land based noseleg. It is a quite simple cross kitting exercise to combine the single seat fuselage/fittings of the single seat M with the lower fuselage/ undercarriage of the 2 seat B to get a single seat C. You can then build a 2 seat N out of whats left, but as the Aeronavale has now decided on a single seat only fleet :D , then it will have to be a "what if scheme". Hope this is understandable. Kaan
If you have one B and one M kit it is easy. Take the M kit, replace it's forward undercarriage and tailhook with the B kit's pieces. Sand off two bulges on the forward fuselage sides, fill the holes for the strakes on the vertical fin, replace the seat. (I don't know which seat it is , it is the same seat used on mirage 2000's), add a pitot tube, and that's it. (And of course you'll need the decals). It looks so cool in the black scheme B)
