hemi
I airbrushed the lighter color with Tamiya Flat alumininum then brush painted Tamiya Gunmetal on the darker areas.I then brush painted a thin coat of Dark grey artists gouache to highlight and give a flat finish that I had seen at an airshow. Thanks for looking..Mark
JackMan
Mark, good work! What is your painting technique for the fuselage? I'd like to know how you did that subtle faded/weathered look. Thanks in advance.
hemi
I took some MM 36118 in a large jar and added 1/3 Testors glosscote and 25 drops of semi-gloss white and thinned the mix with Testors thinner.I sprayed this mix over the pre-shaded model.I then took a small amount from this large bottle and added 5 more drops of white and used this on the insides of some of the panels.I then used 36118 right from the bottle for the dark highlights.Once this drys I will highlight some of the panel lines with a mechanical pencil. hemi
Heres the latest.I added the GPS dome to the right of the speedbrake, spayed the model with Future and started applying the decals. All I have left is the small stencils.I am using links because I am having problems resizing the photos and keeping a decent image. Thanks for looking...Mark http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/xerox3/F-15ETop.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/xerox3/F-15E.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/xerox3/F-15Eleft.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/xerox3/F-15ENose.jpg
