Supertom
Hey everybody, Has anyone ever tried shooting Microscale's Liquid Decal Film through an airbrush? I figured that brushing the stuff on will only smear the ink.
Lloyd
I have and it worked fine. As it is the consistency of water, no thinning is required.
Old Blind Dog
I always use a hand-brush to apply Miro Liquid Decal Film and have never had a problem with smearing. . . UNLESS I touch the decal sheet while the LDF is wet. :) Old Blind Dog
The Keeper
I reduced it 50% with 70% isopropyl alchohol. You can also use methanol/methylated spirits. hth
The Keeper
I saw Alyson Hannigan first. So there! Maybe not! Where did you first see her? Too bad she married what's his face from Angel. Spread it around honey, you haven't met me yet! :D
Randy Wise
Hey everybody,Has anyone ever tried shooting Microscale's Liquid Decal Film through an airbrush? I figured that brushing the stuff on will only smear the ink. Old Dog is correct. Just brush the stuff on with a wide-soft brush. Less waste, less clean-up, less hassle and it works just fine. madmike
I apply the film with a brush as well. light thin strokes and being careful not to miss any areas. I always test colour fastness on a redundant decal on the sheet first. If it runs, I find a quick light mist coat from a spraycan of flat clear (Citadel Purity seal) tends to fix the problem. Then I use the decal film. :D MikeJ
