Mil-24V/P Paint scheme references

Recommended Posts

Hey there Rotorheads

I'm trying to build a Hind Mi-24P (the one with the side-gun) in the Scheme of the Berkuty Display Team. I'm getting conflicting references about the colours. On the Italeri Box it's telling me dark green and military brown, which seems a touch dark, and another reference has it as Humbrol 94 and 119.

Can any kind soul out there tell me the definitive colours for this Bird? A detailed masking scheme would also be most appreciated - it seems to have a 'psychadelic flowers' camo scheme!

And before anybody picks up the obvious mistake, the Berkuty Team used a mixture of 24V's and 24P's

Thanks

Phil

Alby, Mandrake,

Thanks for that, howeverI already had that reference. If you compare the Photo with the drawing, you'll see some abvious differences, so I've (sort of) discounted the Artwork. I'm still a bit torn whether I do this scheme, or the older "Stewart Aviation" scheme. I get a bit indecisive at times! I was hoping for some definitive Camouflage outlines, but it seems that every Hind was painted differently.

Cheers

Phil

How we can see at photo there is not Military Brown and Dark Green. I sink it is standart colour sheme for Mi-24 - Pale Grey FS 36595 and Dark Grey/Green FS 34095. I'm taken that information from Begemot decal, they including Berkuty BuNo 08 helicopter.
