Nighthawk117
Hi I've been eyeing the B5 Omega destroyer and was just wondering... is this a good place to order from? has anyone ordered from them before and how's the service like? Good, bad, indifferent? I'm located in Singapore though... The website is www.federationmodels.com. Second question: Hows the B5 Omega model like? Thanks guys!
Dave Williams
I've ordered from them and haven't had any problems, but I'm in the Us and can't really speak for overseas ordering. IIRC, the B5 Omega Destroyer is done by Warp. I wasn't impressed with the quality of the resin or metal in their Space:1999 Eagle, but I've heard the newer stuff from them is better. You might want to poke around Starship Modeler to see if they have a review.
Jay Chladek
In terms of service, Federation is A1 IMHO. Tracy is one of the straightest shooters out there as long as I've known him. As for the Omega, as Dave has said, Warp's resin can be spotty at times, but the Omega is apparently one of the best ones they have done to date. It mainly is due to the resin used in the UK as for the longest time, the companies that sold through Comet minatures used a very fragile and crappy GRP with microballons to extend it. But now apparently they are using better quality urethane based resins and showing much better results because of it.
