Short Circuit
Hi! Sorry for not using the correct terminoligy, but Im sure you understand: I am building an Albatros (D.V in 1/48 scale) The particular airplane that I am building had an unpained fuselage, and I am trying to represent the wooded "plates". Now on the side of the fuselage I can expect that the wood is oriented lie this: -->--->--->--->--->---> No biggie, that makes sense. But what about the top and bottom ? steveb922
The same way. Basically, the grain would run the same way as the airflow. HTH, Steve
wilbhi2
Also think in terms of bending, with a cylindrical shape the grain of the wood wants to bend perpendicular to the radius. it is much harder to bend wood grain parallel to the radius.
