Green-Meanie
When I said it would be slightly bigger I was estimating that based on the size of the figures in the MPC kit which are slightly smaller than 1/72. I never actually bothered to look up any numbers to check if that was correct. At the end of the day, who cares how big it is, I'm sure it'll be a great model regardless. mazinkaiser
If I remember correctly, the "real" Falcon was about 30-35 meters. I was trying to find this out so that I could calculate the actual scale of the MPC-ERTL kit. If I'm not mistaken it came out to be within spitting distance of 1/72 on that basis. Rigth, I was wrong, but just a little... I checked my MPC, and it's 46 cm long. If you look carefully to the pics here : http://runchick.hp.infoseek.co.jp/hs2005may/23.jpg http://runchick.hp.infoseek.co.jp/hs2005may/24.jpg http://runchick.hp.infoseek.co.jp/hs2005may/25.jpg http://runchick.hp.infoseek.co.jp/hs2005may/26.jpg you will see, written somwhere 42 cm. I can't read japanese, but it is certainly the length, no doubt... It's still smaller than MPC Falcon... Completed model measurement: L430 x W317 x H90 mm meaning L17" x W12.5" x H3.5" Total part count : 800 + No. of runners: 17 I think it is another stunning piece after Bandai's 1/144 Gundam Dendrobium which was also sellling at 20,000yens! Mike D
At the going grocery rate, rocket bottle Guiness is $1 per bottle.. So, the question really is, am I willing to trade 185 Guinesses for this kit... decisions, decisions... Nah, that's crazy talk... :) but the kid doesn't REALLY need shoes and I can steal toilet paper from work... M

Scooby
Good thing there are not too many kits in this line. I will be buying one. I doubt it will be as high as it has been rumored.
