Collin
Other than the Malcom Hood... any major differences between the B and C of the Mustang (read: if I had a C and wanted to model a B... are there any major issues?). Cheers
LanceB
There were no significant differences between B and C, as I understand it the difference is basically where they were built (B = Inglewood, C = Dallas). Note that the Malcolm hood was a field mod, as delivered both Bs and Cs had the framed glass canopy with hinged top and port side, fixed starboard side. In theater, both Bs and Cs received the Malcolm hood, as did some Allison-engined variants. Watch for a fillet on the spine leading up to the vertical stab, though. Some C kits include this. IIRC the fillet was introduced on the C assembly line at some point, however most of the time it was a kit issued to units in the field and applied there. Not all Cs had it, and while I seem to recall it was applied to some Bs, it was pretty rare on that variant. So if you have a box labeled "C", and you have decals for a "B", you can build a B OOB.
