Flankerman
Call me Begemot Jr. So - you're a gigantic beast ?? A huge or monstrous person or thing ?? Behemoth .................. Or does Begemot only mean hippopotamus in Russian ??? Ken
kotey
Behemoth ..................Or does Begemot only mean hippopotamus in Russian ??? Exactly, Ken, hippopotamus. Name Begemot goes back from child nickname establisher firm Alexandr Kurin'yan, we calling him Begemot Senior.

Flankerman
Behemoth ..................Or does Begemot only mean hippopotamus in Russian ??? Exactly, Ken, hippopotamus. Name Begemot goes back from child nickname establisher firm Alexandr Kurin'yan, we calling him Begemot Senior. That is just a bit confusing to us English-speaking types!!! I think that the Russian Begemot translates directly into English as Behemoth?? In English, Behemoth is any kind of large monster or 'thing'. To be strictly correct, from a dictionary - Behemoth - 1. A huge animal, possibly the Hippopotamus. Job 40:15-24. 2. An enormous, or enormously powerful, person or thing. It is from the Hebrew 'Great beast of behemah'. So it is a biblical reference (Job) - and is used in modern English to describe any great beast - including a Hippopotamus !! So - a whale could be a 'behemoth' Isn't there a Russian word for a Hippo ?? - Gippopotam ??? Anyway - lets get back to model aeroplanes.............. Ken
III/JG52-Freiherr V. Kaos
it is possible to get a link for Begemot? Condor?
Laurent
I don't think they have websites yet. Am I right Kotey ? Kondor kits (from Ukrain, not Condor from Czech Republic who did the German missiles and A-36 Apache kits) can be found at a good price on www.hobbyterra.com. Begemot, I'm not sure. Hannants and Linden Hill Imports , I guess. Are there any other sellers in Europe ?

How is from Hannants here? Jay? =))
kotey
BTW - In Hannants shop our productions selling, i didn't say from ignoring exactly this hobbyshop.
Mandrake
We should ask Hannants, why they are "ignoring" Begemot.. Yes, only 18 different sheets, clearly ignoring them Hannants
bartkoh
Andrey, I'll be eagerly awaiting your sheet for the MiG-25 and when it's out, I'll prob be ordering your other sheets as well. One suggestion is a sheet for the "international" MiG-29s. I think quite a few air forces are not yet covered e.g. Sudan, Turkmenistan, Myanmar, Kazahkstan etc. I think there's quite a huge base of modellers who will be inspired by new releases... Kasatka
We should ask Hannants, why they are "ignoring" Begemot.. Yes, only 18 different sheets, clearly ignoring them :D Hannants I am sorry, I was wrong.. =) I saw their decals yesterday in Hannants too But you don't work with Begemot directly, the supplier is intermediate man ;) Edited June 26, 2005 by Kasatka
gooberliberation
Holy Thread Revival, Batman! Having just chopped up the Hobbycraft Foxbat, I say that the ONLY thing it has over the hasegawa is that it has very good decals. Aside from that, what everyone else says... very crude hasegawa copy, expect to use internal bracing and lots of CA to assemble fuselage. On top of all that(here's where it sucks for a kitbasher like me) the plastic sucks! its all fibrous.
Laurent
Well, the Condor MiG-21P, PD and PU are available now. The RB is coming. These kits should be easier to find when they'll be sold under the ICM label.
