Bandai Batmobile...

Recommended Posts

I'm working on some in-progress pics, but this thing is un-fricking-real!

Fit is amazing, detail is amazing, (the subject is amazing)!!!

Here is a pic of the model (displayed at the Shizuoka Hobby Show I think).

I am painting mine using MM Aircraft Interior Black, with MM Semi-Gloss Clear Laquer Finish, as it looks kind of funny in a straight flat finish.

Look for some of my pics soon! B)

DONE!!!!

Had a few major mishaps (ie: losing parts/breakaway parts), but it is done.....

The hardest part was orienting the fibreoptics and the bulb in the space provided. And though there is a slight difference in brightness in one of the 4-headlight clusters, I still think it's a sweet lookin' vehicle....

I will have some digital pics on the weekend.... :)

Got one too but a lot smaller than I expected!

I haven't got around to building it yet but will, soon!

I think its a 1/18 diecast model instead of 1/16. Price is good too and I saw it in Ehobbies.com.

Any idea if Revell or AMT gonna release this sucka in 1/24 or 1/25?

Paholmes gonna light it? Cool dude!

I saw the box at a con not to long ago, man it's TINY!

I found the 1/18th Hot Wheels Die cast, it's nice, but soft on detail and compared to the '89 Batmobile, it still seems small. I heard that another model company was looking at a 1/24 but I've yet to find any proof.

I'm presuming the lighting was of your own design? Not included in the kit?

Nice stuff - your paint choice looks right to me (I've seen the tumbler up close - for the scale, flat black would be too flat.)

Yup... just used a basic battery-switch-light source circuit and routed the FibreOptics as I saw fit.....

Thanks for the compliments!
