JackMan
Has anybody seen that awesome J-anime movie Appleseed? There's this aircraft that looks like a shiny metalic blue combination of C-130+Osprey V-22 with giant Harrier type nozzles at the back. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a model of it somewhere. Or at least a drawing or spec sheet of it.

JackMan
Yup, Masamune Shirow is a genius. His futuristic concepts are way ahead of it's time. Did you know that the Appleseed manga actually came out in 1982? More than 20 years (!) ago, this man had already envisioned the futuristic post-apocalyptic world scenarios that we enjoy in today's J-animation. GreyGhost, I haven't seen Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series, but I've seen the first GITS movie (which just blew me away) and have just bought GITS part 2: GITS: Innocence. I haven't watched it yet but I will soon. The thing about Appleseed is that, it's not as cerebral as GITS but has just as much action that complements the awesome animation and the soundtrack. I really dig. I really wish some Japanese manufacturer will come up with that Appleseed craft. Edited August 30, 2005 by JackMan
GreyGhost
Less cerebral Shirow, three words: Dominion: Tank Police ... SAC is less cerebral than the movies and does have more action plus the character design is more like Shirow's manga which I really enjoy ... Gregg
