Paint Chipping

Phil "Silverback" Schenfeld posted a picture of a Korean era F3. The paint chipping looks really neat. Phil says he used a 'salt' process. Can anyone enlighten me on this.

First prime your model, then spray it silver, then spray it with Future to protect the silver.

When dry, put wet salt onto your model in the places you want the silver to show through. Wait for the salt to dry, then airbrush your top colours over it (don't set the pressure too high, you might dislodge the salt).

When your top coats are dry, simply pick off the salt with a toothpick.
