Matt Walker
This is my first commision build, and will be sad to see it go. I've learnt alot on this model, particularly doing a fair bit of scratch building. Forgot to mention in the Jet forum that this also has the BB cockpit. Used a "confetti" for the HUD. The custom made (?) cover/streamer for the E-seat is very cool! and the 600 wing tank is from th F-2 kit? Nice treat from your webpage. Your skill with the paint work is most appealing! Jan
This is my first commision build, and will be sad to see it go. Hi Matt, first I have to say your mordel looks absolutely awesome.. I was wandering, whether you could give us very rough idea, how prices are set for commision builds... ...I was thinking few times, how much built models are worth... but after I multiplied number of hours I usually spend on my model with my hourly wage in my regular job (modelling is also skill-intensive "profession", I guess) I came to absurd figures ... (not that I intent to sell anything or do the commission builds ) So I was wondering if you could give us very rough idea how much such a model is paid on "comission build market" ...(Is it more than $1000, more than $3000?...) fulcrum
Fulcrum, here's a shot of the wheel....Also meant to add the scorpion was cut from Frisket, and sprayed. It looks great!, definitively i need the F-2 kit to use the tanks for my Venezuelan F-16A, sadly the wheels are different as seen on your Barak... Nice plane Matt!!!!!!!! Greetings from Peru. Matt Walker
Re the fee thing, I didn't do this for the money!! I received A$500.00 for this model, which funded a very nice display cabinet for my living room!! In dollar per hour, it's not worth it. But it gave a nice injection of funds that was welcome.
