ron
Well after many months searching I findly found a new 1/48" Promodeler BF-110-G4 so I can use my Aires engine and cockpit detail set. I already have the Revel Germany 1/48 BF-110 G2/R3 and I am surprized at the quality difference for basically being the same company. The Promodeler is crisply molded with no flash. It makes the Revel kit look rather poor. Anyone used the Aires detail set on this kit?
ReiShikiSenGuy
Actually, no, sorry! They DO look nice, though! But I recall someone saying there was a shape issue on the rudder or something on this kit - can someone fill me in on this? I have the kit, too, and THOUGHT it looked nice until I read that there was a problem somewhere - now I'm a bit concerned! Maybe I'm confusing it with the Me-410 or the Moskito? Back to the glue... heroncreek
Hi Rob, IIRC the nacelles are underscale.......there was an article on HS that illustrated this and promoted the correcting resin set. Forget about that 110 and build a Tamiya Gekko instead! Dan
silver1
IIRC, the rudders are from an early G model. Not very common.
ron
well I am using the Aries detail set so there will be no cowlings on the engines so hopefully the nacelle thing isn't that noticable. I have a Fujimi 1/48 110-C/D should I use the rudders from it rather than the ones in the kit? i will probably never build the Fujimi one. Sorry, I'm out town so can't look at the Fujimi kit to compare. Ron
