Sausage
Remember the Hasegawa release of the sakura scheme F-15? Platz has released a decal set for the same plane. http://www.hlj.com/product/plzjd-31 I'm just wondering whether the Hasegawa decals look alright, or whether these Platz ones would be better. Does anyone have the Hasegawa release?
LanceB
The Platz are much, MUCH better. And I'm not just saying that because I work at HLJ and want you to buy one. Hasegawa's decals looked like they were printed, not airbrushed. Sharp edges, clear demarcations between the shades of gray and black. Platz did a fantastic job capturing the tonal gradations and translucence of the real scheme. Not 100%, mind you, but a good 98% in my book, and to be realistic that is probably the best ANYONE could do with that scheme in 1/72. Granted they are not cheap, but if you want to build that plane you will really need these decals to have it come out anywhere close to "right".
loftycomfort
can someone post a picture of the sheet, or the real plane, please? thanks

Shinigami
Man why can't there be a state side distributor for Platz decals...how much is shipping gonna be for a single sheet? Is HLJ even gonna ship a single decal?

hatchet
Man why can't there be a state side distributor for Platz decals...how much is shipping gonna be for a single sheet? Is HLJ even gonna ship a single decal? Ask Dave Roof, he's sold some of their sheets before. :)
MoFo
Flightdecs also stock Platz, though their availability isn't always great. They'll probably be getting this sheet in, though.
Shinigami
How much was the shipping? If its gonna be high, I might as well throw in a few 1/72 F/A-18Fs and F-14s into the order ;)
dehowie
Fujimi have released this scheme in 48th as well and the decla while not Platz are still very usable indeed. Great to see the JASDF fan club increasing all the time!! Darren
Cloggy
However the Fujimi decal sheet suffered from the same problems as the Hasegawa sheet - the definition of the tones on the mountains.
