Eaulive
Hi all My "scooter" is finished Sure it's a a what'if, i wish that you like all that I propose a small return behind to you. We are at the end of the Sixties. Naval Aeronautics seeks a substitute with his Etendard IVM growing old. To choose its successor, French Navy turns quite naturally to the United States, being extremely satisfied with its purchase of F-8 "Crusader". Two planes are selected for the tests: A-7 of Vought and A-4 of Mc Donnell Douglas. It is the latter which will be selected. After some modifications of avionics (French IFF and Tacan and especially AM 39 capacity), these planes are baptized A-4M (FN) following the example denomination of the "crouze". This specimen is seen November 79 sporting a colourful livery following its participation in "Tiger Meet" of Cambrai, Naval squadron 11F taking part there in its first "Tiger Meet". This A-4 carries with port side the famous anti-ship missile "AM-39 Exocet". The real history here: http://frenchnavy.free.fr/projects/skyhawk/skyhawk.htm
