HGE
I was going through some of my stuff and I found ( I love it when that happens!!! It's like Christmas!! ) some True Details sets that had been misplace for a long time! First question.. The NACES SJU-17 ejection seat says it's for late F-18's.... Would that include the E and F model? Next... The ESCAPAC seat says early A-10 and F-15.. question is, how early? One more question.. not part of the topic.. I model 1/72... So who makes the best Sea Harrier in that scale? Thanks, Henry

Thanks, Henry 1) Yes the Super Hornet uses that seat; although, I understand that the True Details seat aren't really accurate. 2) Very early, think protoypes and the first year or two of service. 3) The ESCI Sea Harrier, which Italeri has reboxed, next would be Fujimi, and finally Hasegawa. HGE
Thank you Sir! I have the Italeri Sea Harrier and it's pretty nice except for the ##$% canopy wich came cracked... I hate Italeri and Revell Boxes.... I wish they would spend that extra 10 cents..
Tigermaster
The True Details seat of the NACES SJU-17 is a correct one for the F-18 A/C/D but not for the current E and F Super Bugs, they have a totally different headrest. (which you sometimes can find in some late C and D's as well.) The only correct ones are in the Black Box cockpit set for the E / F model. They of course come at a price. One would wish that Black Box would sell all their seats as separate items ! (Come on Jef !) But maybe than they wouldn't sell as many cockpits. Cheers, Gert

Gert, However we are talking 1/72nd here, which Black Box doesn't even know exists. Regards, Murph
Tigermaster
Sorry Murph, didn't noticed the scale... here in Belgium most seem to build in 1:48 scale and 1:32nd scale (Trumpeter invasion) these days. However the comments for the True Detail seats are also valid for the 1:72nd scale version... Cheers, Gert
