billbuccaneer
Hi Phantom phanatics, Here she is, completed at last, just under deadline! Royal Air Force No. 111 Squadron Phantom FG.1 display aircraft, circa 1986. It's the Fujimi 1/72 offering. Decals are from ModelDecal set no. 90, Neomega ejection seats, Flightpath ejection seat handles and gunsight mount. I used Seamless Suckers intakes, which fit perfectly. An interesting note; I have a deep fascination with the RAF. My wife and I vacationed in London in the month of October, where we visited the world famous Hannant's model shop. I was excited to actually find "barley gray" paint on the shelf. Previously, I had always mixed up my own approximation. The gentleman behind the counter thought it interesting that, as an American, all my purchases were RAF subjects! I've submitted five pix to the group website.
