leatherneck224 Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 This model has a detailed cockpit and ejection seat. These were detailed with Eduard photo-etch set. The Heads Up Display glass was made with holographic confetti. The nose was replaced with a resin conversion to reflect the later style vents and also has the 5 blade IFF antenna. The exhaust nozzels were replaced with VF-Decals covered nozzels. The centerline pylon was also replaced with the resin one from VF-Decals. The right nose gear door was replace with one cast in resin to coorect the incorrect kit door. The dual chaff buckets under the intakes were cast in resin along with the large main gear doors. The UHF antenna were replaced with resin examples from Black Box. A GPS dome was added to the spine just behind the dorsal antenna using plastic rod. The intake covers were fashioned using tissue paper. She is armed with 2 AIM-9L Sidewinder Air to Air missiles, 2 GBU-12 Laser Guided Bomb, 1 GBU-31 JDAM , 2 Mk-83 General Purpose Bombs, 2 Fuel Tanks 1 AN/AAS-38 FLIR Pod, and 1 AN/ASQ-173 LDT Pod.
