lberberich
Does anyone know what shade of blue Air America painted the tails on their choppers? I have some Mike Grant decals I want to try out. Thanks. Edited January 10, 2006 by lberberich
Hajo L.
I mixed the blue out of Revells "350 Lufthansa Blau" and the much brighter "51". I know that´s not much help for you, but honestly I´m more interested what Huey you are going to use. I just finished my 1/72 Italeri UH-1C in Air America-Markings this weekend (and YES, I know, I should have used a B204 since the AAM-choppers were 204s and NOT UH-1Cs, but tha C was already in my stash). lberberich
I'm going to use a 1/48 UH-1B from Monogram. I think it's close enough.

lberberich
Very nicely done! I was on the USS Enterprise during the fall of Siagon. When we returned to Subic Bay there were Hundreds of Air America Choppers at the Aie Base Parked in rows.
Hajo L.
Here are a couple of pics of my finished 1/72 Air America UH-1C: Interior with lots of stuff like rucksacks and boxes, looks like a logistic support flight. :) The exterior: My printer sucks, therefor the usually black lettering of "Air America" looks grey: HAJO
