AnthonyWan
holy god....$799.99 Must be a pretty detailed model...
RedHeadKevin
It's funny, Masterpiece replicas are often more detailed than the actual studio models. The folks at ILM know that their models might only be photographed from one angle, so they don't detail as much on the other side. MR, on the other hand, knows that their model will be scrutinized from every angle, so they make it all look good.
BigJets
The hell of it is, if I had $800 laying around and gathering dust I'd buy one. BJ
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Holy crimony...guess that's one more reason to hold on to my $120+ SMT Y-wing!!!
Dave Williams
Hey, that's a bargin compared to the $1400 AT-AT.
Randy Wise
Hey, that's a bargin compared to the $1400 AT-AT. Studio Scale is releasing a Millennium Falcon kit as well. I'm hearing rumors that the price tag for such a kit could breech $3000.00. Who the heck would spend that much on a resin model kit in the first place? And the timing is very questionable because Fine Molds seems to have filled that empty void of an accurate Falcon model kit. I don't have room for a resin kit that is as big as my living room coffee table. :D Randy
RedHeadKevin
If they're doing the Falcon in Studio Scale, let's not forget that the Studio Scale for the Falcon models was somewhere around 5 feet long. So 8 grand for one would actually be realistic. Outrageous and disgusting, but realistic.
kylwell
The MR MF will be 32" (the other studio scale) but is scanned from the 5 footer and is expected to run under $1300.
