Koen L
Step1: The linedrawing (which will be improved later) Step2: Added the basic colours and a few markings: That's it for now, to be continued. Koen
GreyGhost
Looking like a SLUF already Koen, that's a Good Thing !!! Thanks for the step by step thread ... Gregg
Koen L
Thanks Gregg, I'm updating the linedrawing a lot right now so not much progress to be shown. When I do have some I'll post it of course!
Koen L
Adjusted the linedrawings and colours and added some more markings/stencils: Added some weathering effects and started with some shadows. I don't always have a fixed order in which I do the profiles, when I feel like doing a certain part I'll work on that. To be continued.... Koen
Koen L
Here's a picture of the original by the way. I'm not sure yet if I'll add the droptank and MER as most of the A-7's at Araxos were in the clean configuration.
GreyGhost
That's coming along Great Koen, I'm enjoying your progress however you see fit ... Gregg
Apollo
Very nice as always Koen, looking forward to see the amount of weathering you will apply to this one. Must say, she looks good with the MER, etc on the photograph. Cheers, Piet.
Koen L
Thanks guys! The weathering is the reason I've picked this particular one so stay tuned for loads of it.
Kostas T
Very nice work  Waiting for the weathering looks really good.

Koen L
Added some birdsh*t as well. Edited February 28, 2006 by Koen L
stelios2000
fantastic job Koen... however i live in the A-7 previous airport nest-crete/chania- and i havent seen them for over 20years without the fuel tanks. At least they carried one.... anyway your job is fantastic.
Koen L
Thanks a lot Stelios! I had a visit at Araxos last September and about 50% of them didn't carry anything on the pylons. Still to add some interest I will add fueltanks and probably the MER. Koen
Koen L
And we have a fueltank:
TF51GREGWISE
Koen, Looking very good!! I've never seen this done before.
Koen L
Thanks Greg! A productive day saw the addition of the wing and the MER. I included a close up of the MER since I was pretty happy with how it came out! It's a bit dark as I need to adjust the shadow layer but I'll save that stuff for last. Apollo
Hi Koen, Coming along nicely my friend, weathering true to form. Agree with you, shadow needs to be changed a bit, but so far very well done. The addition of the underwing stores make a big difference. Have you started your twin-cab Mirage model already? Cheers, Piet.
Koen L
Thanks a lot Piet! I heard some talk about a twoseat-conversion and some other goodies coming out for the kit this year so I decided to wait a bit and see what that would be like. :o Koen
GreyGhost
Your Corsair is looking quite nice Koen !!! Gregg
David Walker
It's very interesting to watch the process as you build layer by layer. And I particularly like the birds**t. Very realistic. Edited March 7, 2006 by David Walker
Koen L
Added/changed some more details and weathering. Now I need to add the cockpit with the SJU-8/A seat so if someone has a good photo looking into the cockpit from the left side and detail pics of the SJU-8/A seat that would be great. After that it's the shadows and highlights and then I can call it finished. Koen
David Walker
Again, great job. It looks amazing.
Brutalos
Absolutely realistic! Crazy ammount of time and artistic creativity given on this profile. But then again its Koen_L, we couldnt expect something else . Keep it up my friend, it is going great.
Koen L
Finished the cockpit area. On to the final weathering and the shadows and highlights! Thanks to Dirk and Brutalos for their help.
Impatient Pete
Ooohhhhh niiiiice. I was wondering what you were going to do with the canopy area. Nice pilot. Did you mention what program you are using? Pete
