Recommended Posts

My 13th Viper, an F-16 Venezuelan Air Force blk 15 Italeri 1/48 A/c 0220 to conmemorate 20 years of Vipers Ops in Venezuela 2003. Did it in a clean config like those in the CRUZEX exercises.

This one is not so much a new build as it is a minor overhaul.

It has been sitting on my display shelf for a couple years and needs some TLC, as a few parts have fallen off (gear doors, etc).

At least it has gone unnoticed by my cat, unlike my built submarine fleet.

My Hasegawa F-16C in 1/48th scale was a great build, although larger than my usual 1/72nd subjects.

I have another to build, but the Thunderbirds decals are getting old and I am in the market for a unique decal set.

Just recently completed my F-8 Crusader.

Was very excited about hearing that one of the other volunteers at the museum will be giving me 8 1/72 scale jets, because he didn't want them and wouldn't build them...8 jets! That'll last me all summer!

Also I wonder where phantom gets all his F-4 jets...I really envy him because I always wanted an F-4J myself...

Happy modeling!

Jerry

My first model aircraft build in almost 50 years, a Hasegawa 1:72 Lancaster Mk.!. It is a tribute to my dad's (and my) friend Sam, who was the rear gunner in RAF 300 Sqn Lancaster BH-U "Uncle". They were shot down by Major Paul Semrau of NJGII on the night of July 24/25, 1944 near Orleans, France. Only Sam and two others survived.

Recently (almost)completed: Airfix CA-19 Boomerang, Torokina airstrip Bouganville Island 1945. Still have to finish off a display base for her; pitot has broken off several times (missing in pics) and a rear view mirror was added.

Well the OOB build of Sword's 1/72 scale Reggiane Re-2002 is done.

It was a trouble free build that most anyone should enjoy. The usual small challenges one might expect from a limited run kit, but its very buildable and fills another small void in 1/72 world!

Decals are from the kit and the Sky Decals Re-2000 series sheet.
