smokeriderdon
Finished up the old 1978 Monogram Cylon Raider. Took a lot of extra work to make it OK. Decals were shot, so I painted the black stripe and the pentagon markings are not present. But still turned out OK I think.

Dutch
Shawn, It's a mixed metaphor! I think you'd better lay off the Molson, LaBatts, Canadian Club or whatever you've been drinking before and during this build. Strange brew indeed!

I never drink while building, however the movie "Strange Brew" was indeed on at one point during this build.

diggle
I am always impressed by the quality of the models shown in here……i have had to shelve temporarily my work on RFDS Nomad and Beagle, however thought you might like to see the final result of my last project…..the last three fixed wing fighters of the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Air Arm : Hawker Sea Fury, de Havilland Sea Venom and McDonnell Douglas A-4G Skyhawk. The kits were all very old, and I will post the details as an addendum. But notably the Sea Venom kit was a Frog kit from 1973 found on the web. The Sea Fury is from a Pioneer 2 kit from 1988, and the A-4G ESCI “Aussie” 1989. a joy and a challenge.

phantom
2 1/32 Hasegawa Sabres. Both using the same partial Leading Edge sheet for markings and spare roundels and a suitable Canadian flag.
Geoff M
A couple of 1/48 builds I recently finished: Monogram P-61B and Z-M F-4G. I put a lot of aftermarket for my usual build into the P-61B. Vector engines and nacelles, Eduard photo etch and wheels, Aeromastere decal. The clear parts really turned out to be pain. I made a mess of gluing them together. I tried polishing and dipping in future. The end result is they are shiny but imperfect. This one was much easier to build. OOB for the most part. I used Afterburner Decals for 3TFW F-4Es and Gs. I did use Babibi 3D decals for the cockpit. These were designed for the Hasegawa version but with some minor modifications they worked. Thanks for looking.
