HGE
I have the Eduard AV 8B Harrier ii Plus set ( 73-236 ) For my Hasegawa Harrier Plus kit ( D24 ) Could anybody tell me the best Eduard set to use for the GR MK.7 kit? ( They don't make one specifically for that kit.) I'm guessing it would ither be (72-236) or ( 72-237 ) Which or..what else? Thanks, Henry

Thanks, Henry I've just had a quick look on Hannants website and I would think either could be adapted - I'd go for -236 myself, the main difference between the GR5/7 and AV8B tub is the ejection seat. check out Airwaves from Hannants. Revell's/Hasegawa's kit is nice - though you'll have to add a few "lumps and Bumps" to the wing tips and lower fin area.... Happy V/Stolling!!!! :(
HGE
Thanks Bill, I didn't know the seats were different!! Is there any good single source on the different Harriers? I have some but it's very scattered and mostly covers GR MK3 and AV8B. Thanks, Henry! AND many thanks for this wonderful site!!!!

No problem Henry the IPMS(UK) HARSIG is a good source of all things Harrier - you will need to join to access some areas on the website though.....alternatively look at the LINKS page on there.... Bullet101
i think you also need the 100% LERX for the GR.7 as hasegawa doesn't give you the correct kind

Bullet101
do you know why? Doesn't seem to make sense to me to do a mod on only a few airframes Thanks for the clarification btw too. Edited March 24, 2006 by Bullet101
Bill Clark
do you know why? Doesn't seem to make sense to me to do a mod on only a few airframesThanks for the clarification btw too. The first batch of "Harrier II's" delivered to the RAF were of course GR5's and these all had 65% LERX's when delivered, these were all converted to GR7 (and then on to GR7a and GR9) and retained the smaller LERX's. Newly delivered GR7's also had the 65% LERX's, apart from the last 30 or so...... I seem to recall that there was a plan to upgrade all, but costs no doubt played a factor....I also understand that the T10's (and therefore T12's when upgraded) all have the 65% LERX's to reduce fatigue life, maybe thats the case with the single seater's too....something to do with the way the RAF (and now FAA!) fly perhaps!!!!
