m_watkins
Has anyone used white PVC glue with houshold foil or is there a specific type of adhesive that has to be used?
archerwin
you can use CONTACT CEMENT. PVC glue has a long drying time and is more applicable to plastics...
RotorheadTX
I think he means PVA glue (Elmers, etc.).... Yes, it works just fine, but it does have a longer drying time. If you're in a rush, you can use CA (super-glue)
m_watkins
LOL. Yes I did mean PVA glue. Thought I'd ask first because there are very few model shops around my way and of those they tend to be geared more to RC cars and don't carry Bare Metal Foil or foil glues. Thanks to you both
phantom
Just remember to let the glue completely dry when using the tin foil to keep the alien voices from controlling your mind. Sure the tin foil hats are pointy and chic. But the glue is hard to get out of your hair.
T-bone
You can use Microscale’s Micro Metal Foil Adhesive. It is inexpensive and easy to use. Keep the surface clean of any debris because it will stick to the foil and make a blemish in the surface after you burnish the foil down. More info can be found here Using Foil PDF Hope this link works if not just go to FSM site... Edited March 30, 2006 by T-bone
Miccara
I use this stuff. Goes on thin, stays tacky for a week yet stays attached to the kit. Foil dosen't move when handled and if you have a hair or something underneath, you can lift it off, remove the hair and re-apply.
