Chappie
My 40th F-16 is almost done, and my next project will be Revell's 48th B-58, an original issue kit. I'm going to use the cockpit set from Engines & Things, so I can open up each cockpit. I've had the set for a year or so and have lost the two vacuformed "canopies" for the second and third cockpits. I E-mailed E&T over a week ago requesting replacements and have yet to recieve a response. Anyone had trouble getting a response from them? Secondly, has anyone built a Hustler with this set? I've got some fit questions. Chappie Edited April 6, 2006 by Chappie
swimmer25k
I bought mine from Roll Models a few years ago. You essentially get some blocks of resin for the parts. I ended up sanding off the surface detail and laminating all of the surfaces with thin sheet styrene. I've been using Mike Grant instrument decals, sprue, punched out buttons and dials, and other styrene bits. It's pretty easy, and the way to go (I think). For the engines I glued in the old Verlinden brass photo-etching for the F-15 inside of the cans. A friend of mine cast them for me in resin and they look really good. It would be worth the effort to try to score some of the brass. Hope this helps. chris
