A VNAF AC-130 would be a fiction. I don't believe they ever possessed, borrowed, trained, or flew in one. Though it would be nice if they did.

I know that there were discussions about transferring some of the early A models to the VNAF. However, I am not sure if that happened or not.

I was looking thru the book Air War Over Vietnam by Dana Bell, Warbirds Ill. no.26 they showed a

C-118 used for medical

Thai: HU-16/S-2/O-1/Westland Wessex/A-37/F-5/UH-1

They also had a low slung single seat sea plane with the engine mounted on top of the wing. Never saw them move from the hanger in a year.

Not really because we have stated that we would like to start in 1949 because that is when the French Indochina war started. However, if you have your heart set on it, I would not have a problem with it.
