...Tamiya P-51B finished in Gunze lacquers, Mike Grant Decals, Ultracast prop/seat. Great fitting model and I finally got accurate 'Ding Hao!' decals that I've been waiting years for. Major Howard's aircraft when he won the Medal of Honor.

Gorgeous looking Mustang. Those decals look painted on. I have heard that Mike Grant's decals are just excellent to use. Well this is proof, I would say. Congrats on a fine build.

Very nice work, Carbine, glad the decals worked out for you. The Ultracast prop makes a huge difference to the look of the aircraft.

Just as difficult, if not harder, to build an immaculate clean model than it is to do a weathered one. Great job.

....Thanks for all your comments guys....

Whats the yellow stripe on the gear doors?
Ellis, I'm sorry I didn't see your question till just now. The chromate yellow stripes on the main gear doors are actually a reinforced panel that is deisgned to firmly hold the wheel in place once the gear is retracted. There are color photographs showing in theatre P-51B aircraft with these panels painted chromate yellow, and I followed suit on Ding Hao. Thanks Ellis, HTH ........!
