Hobbydecal
Question for the Low visi Super Hornet... At First I have thought and drawn the both sides are same color FS36320. Now I've noticed that outside is FS36375 not 36320 from seeing some pictures. Hasegawa and othe maker's drawing show both are 36320. I think some bgs may be same color and some others may be different ones. Is there anyone who tells the real colors? from Kim
David Hingtgen
Based on seeing VFA-2's CO plane in real life when it was only a few weeks old, and staring at a lot of pics I took of the tail, I say 36375 outside, 36320 inside. IMHO they look so similar due to the angled fins that shadows/light really blends the colors, so they look like one color overall---the 36375 is in almost permanent shadow, looking like 36320. Best way to tell is to compare the base of the outside of the fin to where it meets the fuselage--it should contrast. (even if only a little) I usually find it easier to tell on either really fresh or really old paint. "Mid-life" paint seems to blend the most. VFA-103guy
Officially, the tails are 36375 on the outside and 36320 on the inside. This is supposed to be the Boeing "standard". Edited June 16, 2006 by VF-103guy
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Is that *supposed* to be on all Super Hornets?
David Hingtgen
It's *supposed* to be on all Hornets of all models, AFAIK. (at least, those painted in the standard 36375/320 pattern)
Hobbydecal
Thank you all. Surely I redraw outside as FS36375. Here is redrawn profile. Click following http://www.hobbydecal.com/picd/al48002-left-v2.jpg Good Luck! From Kim
