model_madness
Anyone know where i can purchase MM acrylics in the UK? or an online store where i can order? I want a water based acrylic paint....that I can clean my brushes/airbrush with water with. Are there any other paint manufacturers making water based acrylics? Thanks for your help Edited June 24, 2006 by model_madness
smutz
hi, modelmaster is not sold in the uk, but you can get xtracrylics from hannants this sprays well & will brush well thinned or not, dries fast ( about 15 mins). gunz mr color from MDC as good as xtracrylics ( i use both), tamiya sprays well thinned with their thinner(or neat), but won't brush well ive found it lifts the paint edges. AV vallejo produce two types air- pre thinned for airbush & a brush paint from parrabellum. don't bother with lifecolor c### sprays like snot, polly-s not in the same class as the much missed aeromaster. hope this helps andy. skuki
Gunze acrylic are the best around, simply thinned with alcohol that you can buy in pharmacy or something. Try at MDC, www.modeldesignconstruction.com .
Pete Wenman
MM if you want water based I would recommend the Vallajo Air Colour range. Pre thinned, although I often thin further, with either water, of window cleaning fluid. Spray easily and are very tough once on. Loads of places where you can get them in th UK HTH Pete
