This is a classic Monogram kit. Very good kit, good outline and details. Good fit. Has raised panel lines.

I'm not an F-15 expert, but the I am certain the only major exterior difference is the engines. Someone else can fill in the engine details.

It depends what's in the box.

Revell issued an F-15A as one of the first of a new range of 1/48

scale kits in the late 70's, about the same time as

the F-4E (like a scaled down 1/32 version with the same faults)

a MiG-21, P-51 and B-17. Quality-wise the general consensus was that

they were like scaled up 1/72 scale kits, without much additional detail.

The MiG-21PFM was regarded as the most accurate if I recall correctly.

If it's a reboxed Monogram version, that is generally regarded as the most accurate,

shape-wise, but it has raised panel lines (as does the late 70's F-15A).

But given Revells history of releasing both Hasegawa and Monogram moulds recently,

it would be best to have a look in the box.

I think the Monogram kit contains a crew ladder, and the Hasegawa one has engraved panel lines.

If it has neither, then it may well be the 70's kit and is best avoided. There are far better

ones on the market now.

Again I'm not an expert either, but I think the A model has the turkey feathers on the engines,

and the C has the exposed engines.

Also the wheels on the C are to a different pattern.
