pkwong
Model Day, Please help me to see how it works. - You put the piece of white plastic you want to punch between the clear piece and the aluminum base? - You put the end of the drill through the hole in the clear piece so it rests on top of the white styrene plastic you want to punch. - You hit the drill bit head. - This cuts through the white styrene plastic? Thanks in advance peter

pkwong
Thanks ModelDay. I just had a hard time believing that the end of the drill bit can cut through the white styrene when the white styrene is resting on top of the aluminum base. I can imagine the drill making a dent in the white styrene. Guess I'll have to try it. peter
MoFo
There are holes drilled through the aluminium base, so the drill slides through the hole in the acrylic sheet, pushing the white styrene through the hole in the aluminium base, creating a styrene disc.
ModelDay
That's it, MoFo. Thanks.
pkwong
Thanks MoFo. Now I understand why ModelDay was asking about the drilling pattern and the picture of the back of the aluminum base. peter

PlasticWeapons
Want to know who made this home made punchie? It wasn't me but this modeler might still be able to make some:

You did a great job.Jeff Actually, Waldron was bought by Roll Models and they are continuing the line. But these home-made ones are a good idea, especially if you can't afford the "Waldron" punches.
