Bennet
Dear all Was (or is) the two-seat version (F-16D) used during OEF/OIF? And if so, are there any pictures available? Thanks --Bennet--
jmel
As a general rule, no, since the D has less fuel capacity. I'm sure there have been exceptions, though, and one two-seater claimed the first USAF MiG kill during a OSW mission in 1992. A buddy recently told me that his unit would start bringing their two-seater on future deployments to be used as spare parts. Jake

Chappie
Hey Jake. I was looking over your ANG Conference CD and I started thinking....the 113th seems to be the only F-16 unit in ACC that has a D-model as its flagship. jmel
That's because it is the only Wing with a Commander that isn't a Viper pilot. Jake

Since I've been in the unit I recall 471 and then 476 as our flagships. When 471 was the Wing COs jet, 461 was the Sq COs jet. Chappie
