looking for Vietnam era Huey in 1/32 or 1/35

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.

A customer has asked me to see if there is a Huey available to represnt a Vietnam era Huey in 1/32 or 1/35.

He seems t othink there would be one to represnt the 101st Airborne, but I am not so sure.

To cap it off, he reckons the Huey itself was desiganted Huey 101.

Now, if there is a kit out there, I reckon it may not have the required markings, so does anyone do the relevant markings in aftermarket?

Thanks in advance

Liam

Try Revell´s UH-1H, it´s in 1:32 and quite OK. No markings for 101st IIRC in the kit.

I know Panda made two different UH-1C's versions...I don't know if they are still in production but those only ones that were 1/35 scale helo's.

Panda has UH-1D's (UH-1H also?). Academy/MRC makes the UH-1C's.

Only magor diference between a D and a H model Huey is the engine. Most D models were upgraded to H standards. There are some minor external differences. Pitot tube was moved to roof and nose antenne were deleted.

Fireball Modelworks does some Huey Decals. I did a review of their AH-1G decals in 1/32 here on ARC a while back. They have some 101 decals on that sheet.
